the epitalon vial was in a rigid plastic tube inside the box, which kept it from moving around. the ghkcu was in a padded envelope. both labels were high contrast and easy to read. i didn't have any questions so i didn't contact support. the shipping was fast and the tracking was accurate.

recieve the box on a wednesday evening, was packed with two little desiccant packets in the corner and the vials were wrapped in tissue paper inside a rigid tube each. had them both out of the box and in my organizer drawer in under two minutes. the epitalon label had the batch printed in a slightly different font than i remembered from last time, checked the site and yep, they updated their labels in july. no actual product change, just the print shop. both looked clear and solid. did not need to contact anyone, no questions, no issues.

i am going to get this over with quickly. three items, all present, all in tubes, all cold. the mt2 tube had a small gap at the top where the plastic film liner was not heat sealed all the way around, maybe an eighth of an inch. i check these every time because a torn liner means air gets to the cap and the cap integrity matters over time. i felt around the gap, the seal was holding, no air movement, the vial was not exposed. i called support on the first day just to flag it for their qc notes and they thanked me and said they would run that liner supplier through a calibration check. nothing i needed to do, no return, no replacement. the other two were perfect. so. the mt2 liner had a small gap and they let me know they would look at it. that is the whole review and i am not going to pad it.
i set the ghkcu aside for about four days before i got around to sending it to the lab because i was at a job site and the courier pickup window was closed all week. it did not budge at all, the cap was solid, no precipitate in the liquid after four days at room temp which is not the ideal storage but it is within the manufacturer stated stability window for short excursions. the tesa went in the same pick up, they do both in the same submission batch so it saved me a courier trip. results came back tuesday. ghkcu at 99.0% and tesa at 98.4%, both within the published assay ranges for their respective lots. the lab did not flag anything above a threshold or below a threshold. i compared the method they used, hplc with uv detection at 214nm, and it is the standard pass. no problems. the lot numbers on the labels matched the certificate of analysis i pulled from their site. so. lab confirmed, storage held, no anomalies.
the inner cardboard tray that held the two tubes had a corner that was not cleanly die-cut, there was a little burr of cardboard sticking up about two millimeters at the top right corner of the tray well for the tesa. i opened the box and it snagged the corner of the tesa label when I lifted the tube out, leaving a shallow scratch in the printed text, not in the adhesive, just the ink layer. the tesa label still read cleanly, i could make out every character, but the tesa product name now has a thin white line through the middle two letters. i photographed it and sent it to their support before i put the vial away. they confirmed it was a known trim defect from the last run of those trays and offered a replacement tesa at no charge, which i accepted. the ghkcu label had not snagged because its tray well was clean, and the water was unaffected. the replacement tesa showed up in two days, printed on the same tray stock, no burr. so the original had a small cosmetic scratch from a cardboard edge and the replacement was clean. nothing was wrong with either vial, it was just the label paint.
